There is old waste ground there that loads of stolen bikes end up at especially sm type and scramblers. Worth a look. Don't approach the scrotes if ya see your bike.

Call the law and wait.

Hope ya get it back.

I'd rather wait and not get it back then get hospitalized and still not get it back.

1998 Honda VFR 800Fi (silver) stolen last night in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.
If you see somebody riding it, break their necks for me please or alternatively let the law know. It has Cork reg.

This is the bike, though I took of the rear 'tail' and mounted handles for pillion

Guys, I am thinking about going on a lookout for the bike during the weekend. Do you know if there are any spots where stolen bikes are usually raced / dumped or is it more random places?

Walked to work from Drumcondra to Easpoint last Friday and there were 3 bikes dumped in the river beside Fairview Park. A bloke in work had his VTR stolen a few days beforehand and it ended up in there. No idea what it was used for tho

Sound lad, thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot.

On a side note, what worries me there's no 40 pages long sticky thread on this forum with a subject 'I found my stolen bike and it was not fooked!' :). My chances are low, but still, the bike would do the same for me if I was nicked I am sure :p.

A friend of mine's bike was stolen last night in Clonee.

BMW R1100RT
Blue
98 LH 4424
Panniers thankfully weren't on it but it was locked up and alarmed in a secure car park in an apartment block so probably was lifted and put in a van!

That's a strange bike to nick?
Anyone else think that?

It's not for joy riding, not exactly a getaway bike and the went to a lot of effort to nick it.
I reckon parts are expensive on them or stolen to flog in foreign lands.

Hope you get it back or at least find the bastard who nicked it and happen to have a hot poker on you!

We thought exactly that but it was found last night in Finglas, Gardai chased the joy riding f#ckers for nearly an hour, bike has a good bit of damage done to it but at least it was found....still can't believe they picked a bike like that to have a bit of 'fun' with....a**holes.
