Default nsr problems

been havin trouble with the nsr,its like its been starved of fuel round 5k/6k revs.ive checked the fuel line,changed spark plug was cleanin out the carb an noticed there is petrol inside the float not good i presume?need to get a new exhaust gasket as the old one is fooked but all i can find is 49mm od and the one i took out is 60mm,any body know which is right size?is der anything else i should be checkin

Petrol inside the float is not good and means your float is leaking and needs to
be replaced as your fuel air mixture will be wrong and will be letting too much fuel into the carb and will flood the engine

Juice in the float is not as it should be. Although with this, the float will be constantly down if theres ebnough in it to make it heavy enough to sink. So would not explain the starvation as you describe. Have you checked the vent in the filler cap that it aint blocked up with crap? Not sure where you'll get the gasket though...

ill get another float so an see if that helps

when im drivin the revs get to about 6k then drop back a k or 2 for a second then go back up.ill check the vent when im back at the bike

once it got up to the powerband it was kinda ok,was mainly arond the midrange power that its splutterin.
