Motorbike: I have a grown up bike now
Default clutch wouldn't engage - Monster 695

I got stranded at the side of the road today, unable to go anywhere

.
The clutch just wouldn't engage. I could go up and down the gears but the clutch wouldn't hit that 'biting point'.
I could let the clutch lever go while in gear and the bike never cut out either.
So I played with the lever for about 10 minutes and eventually I got it going and never had any bother after that.
Does it just need grease or could there be a bigger problem brewing...

They have hydraulic clutch mechanisms - the slave cylinder probably needs a strip and rebuild.

Might just be a bit of air in the system. Try bleeding it especially at the slave.

Whatever you do, don't leave it go too long and stick it in to a pillar like I did with mt blackbird. Clutch failed and off it went! Destroyed the front end! Bleeding the clutch hopefully sort it out!

I can't see how bleeding the clutch would help. It might help if it wasn't disengaging, but that's not the problem, the problem is it wasn't engaging.
