Tbh they have to be told by the people that organise the run. I know we need a permit to run our annual Steven (ned) Kelly memorial run every year. And we also have to marshal the run. I was late joining up with the run on Sunday and got a bit of a shock when I seen the Garda bike on the run. He was part of the Westmeath branch so that's why he didn't stay with the group once we went on to ballycumber.
