The victims brother was interviewed on the radio today and said "me brother didn't do half the things they said he did" If he only did half the things that were alleged in court he was a total skumbag. The son was convicted of manslaughter and given eighteen months.

Son who killed father with a shovel not guilty of murder

He claimed that his father had begun threatening him and had come at him with the shovel before James Jnr took it from him. The court also heard that James Jnr claimed he “did not want to kill him” but had “gone too far”. He claimed he had snapped after a liftetime of violence at his father’s hands.

“Twenty-one years is a long time getting bet up,” James McInerney Jnr told gardai.

Sad case for all involved.

Sadder still when the family will be googlin' this and having to read our rubbish about it,
the likes of the grandkids looking into how Grandad died etc.
Just leave it I reckon lads
