What do Honda recommend ?.
If in drought change it, then you know its changed.
And you don't have to worry about it.
Happy biking.....Sid.

Normally on a car the pump is replaced with the belt as they say the pump wont outlast two belts so for safety sake they change the pump aswell

Just changed the belt on my focus and there was a slight leak on the pump
my advice is change the pump and you know its good then.

Change the pump aswel for the sake of it, their not an expensive part and while the belt is off just makes sense to do it anyway !

P.S. the bike is deinitely clocked - 12 year old ex-police bike with 24K

But then the timing belt wasn't changed since 90k...or it got a new engine.

Anyway, suggest to change the belt incl water pump.

Cheers,
Marc
