Default Electrical/alarm problem?

Well,

Fitted R1 rectifier today. Before I did i tried my new battery and ignition etc was fine

Took out battery and fitted rectifier, put battery in, ignition wont come on (no neutral light, lights etc)

Now there is an oxford alarm of some sort in the bike since I got it.

Normally when you arm it it beeps twice, and once when you turn it off it beeps once

But now the alarm beeps like 3 or 4 times and 1-2 times when you turn it off (cant check for sure right now as i had to go to work)

Any ideas?

I think the alarms have diff beeps/sequences for diff problems. You need to get a look at an alarm manual to see what its trying to tell ya.

Right thats my alarm... 4 beeps tells me "System silenced, but still armed, and
input that triggered the system is still
active but bypassed."

no help

Has anyone ever had an alarm cause all power to be gone from the lights etc to cease function or have I done something else

All fuses are ok

Edit: oh and I can make it beep once also. Which apparently disarms the system?

you sure that all wires to battery are connected? cant see how a dodgy alarm would stop the ignition coming on altogether. most alarms just disable the starter circuit (cue 'oh no they dont'

) all earths connected properly?
sounds like something simple you may have missed

There is only the negative and positive leads for the battery

Didnt really touch any of the wiring

Would the CDI affect this? Could I of somehow ballsed it?

Guess I wont be doing me full bike test at this rate

High 5 for the person that tells me where the main fuse on the rvf is... Looking at wiring diagram i can see the main fuse is a single fuse

I didnt have time to check before work and keep in mind I'm not at my big garage right now. I'll have to go outside with a light. Be handy if someone could tell me before i find it haha
