Hi!
Whrere does an 18 year old, who has no previous road experience (bike or otherwise) start? I understand I need an A1 theory test and an eye test, but where to after that? To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. I only want something under 125cc to learn on.. Not a 600cc monster! Thanks! Do the theory test, get the provisional licence - do a search of the site, there are guys on here who do bike training - check them out - and take it from there.
Also save up the cash, because, like any 18 yo trying to get onto/into wheels, the insurance could be a multiple of the wheels To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. |

you'll want a 125 at 18.
you need an A learner permit (NOT A1). book your theory test, ring up quinn direct for a quote on some bikes for an idea of price of insurance. searh here, loads of info for noobies... should have a faq section |

Insurance quote from quinn is 900 or thereabouts for most 125cc..
I'll get a lesson either way, but is the CBT (compulsory basic training) in place yet? If not, does anybody know when they plan to introduce it? I'd like to avoid it if I could.. Thanks for the advice, helping already! @paulob, haha.. no itention of getting 'into' wheels, i'd feel like a goldfish in a car!
