Default Exhaust repair.

Got small hole in exhaust (sounds terrible too) just where it attaches to engine. Just finished an engine transplant.

1st question - can it be welded?

2nd - roughly how much?

3rd - anyone know somewhere to get it done in Cork?

Thanks lads

1 it can,
2 depends on a lot of factors, mainly how badly its rusted around the hole, and how long it takes to strip the pipes off, its worth noting that the other pipe will need welding soon, im
assuming its the usual top half of one of the centre two pipes thats gone here, post some pics an ill give ya a better idea
3 im in lombardstown

if a mild steel pipe is getting holes then the steel is after getting too thin and you will end up doing the same thing over and over. you need to check out the price of a new mild steel one or a second hand s/s and see is it much better in the long run to get a new set or is it cheaper to weld it a few times, because it will go in other places its only a matter of time
