Default 2 and a half months and counting

Jesus lads, My bike has been in the shop for 2 and a half months now, and they still have no idea when the part (right hand riser & handlebars) that is delaying the work will arrive. is this the fecking norm or are they really taking the piss? Its a jap import so parts are coming from Japan, obviously, as Suzuki ireland hadn't anything in stock. And that's just to get her back on the road. Still facing a couple of months of riding a bashed up bike until i can get the body work done.

In general its not too bad but Suzuki Ireland (Priory) would certainly be at the bottom of the scale in terms of getting orders right, helpfulness, prompt delivery, etc ..thats been my experience and of people I know within the trade.

Problem is VF that Suzuki won't order in parts from Japan for bikes they don't sell themselves over here.
You get a lot of imports that were never intended for the Irish/ European market and it's up to the stealer to pick up the bits when he's in Japan next time buying a container load....which at this time of year is not likely to be anytime soon.
Lone Rider.....what about Ebay? Or a trip to a breakers yard to see if you can find something close enough to gunter on for the moment?

Try getting the parts from Suzuki UK.
Mate of mine got fed up waiting for parts from Suzuki Ireland. He has 2 Suzooks.
He orders them from Suzuki UK and he has them within a week or two maximum.

Why are you waiting for original parts ?

There are any amount of aftermarket bars/risers out there. Most will be stronger, lighter, much cheaper and better built than the Suzuki items - Renthals for example.

What bike is it BTW ?
