Good news gone bad, the scumbag that broke my baseball bag is getting me charged for assault can you believe it! Can't really go in to any more details for legal reasons but I have been in contact with a solicitor and have been told not to worry about it, and to tell the truth I'm not worryed it's worth the charge if it sticks. Can't say any more on an open forum.
I would be very surprised if he actually won this. What a prick.:rolleyes2: |
Re: Good news
You mean that you weren't at the party and saw the scumbag attack Dugliz Helen, could have sworn I spotted the bandana :shifty:

Re: Good news
they trespassed on your property, then they broke into your property...
- more than one of them - you were in fear of your life - they threatened you - you defended yourself with the first thing that came to hand - the idiot hurt himself on the bat while attacking you... case dismissed. little wanker chancing his arm. |
Re: Good news
Wouldn't worry bout him pressing charges. Will come to nothing! You will have to give a statement and then it will take its course.... And will fizzle out. I had a similar thing where I clobbered a lad in self defense. Nothing came of it.

Thing is though he prob has a statement given already since the incident occured and this could be used against duggie if he stated anything other than we were there for the party!! if ya know what I mean :ninja: |
Re: Good news
I know what yar saying... But my thing happened in a public place on a night out, I was threatened and then the other party approached me. I decked the lad once within arms reach, then charges were taken against me, I gave a statement saying what happened and how I clobbered them cause I was afraid. This incident with dug happened in this lads shed. No matter what, the guards are not going to pursue this with vigour, they will just go through the motions and that will be that. Contact a solicitor, advise him/her of what was contained in your statement about the break in and work from there. Don't break a sweat dug, it will come to nothing!

I think he will be offered the chance to amend or remake the statement again anyway... Iv been in similar situations to you also green grass as worked on the doors in clubs for years. Dougie .. ya could be a test case for the new homeowners rights bill:lbhbh: - Bet ya wouldnt change a thing though lad - ..... if this goes to court against you Ill be the first one to take a day off work and support ya. Maybe we should organize a ride out down your side soon :lbhbh::ninja: |

Re: Good news
it may be wise to get the mods to remove this thread and the other one also
just in case there is any incriminating evidence in either thread at least untill after it is all sorted. louth is a small place and biker.ie is a well known forum..... |

Re: Good news
Good news gone bad gone good again! :lbhbh:
Just back from my local garda office had a good long chat with the fellows in there and have been advised that there will be no pending charges, happy days now to wait for my day in court. by the way the lad that showed no respect for my poor baseball bat had 3 brakes in his collar bone and had to have pins. Next time it will be a crowbar as they don't brake so easy! |
Re: Good news
Great news :thumbsup2: at least the law seems to be with the victim for a change :thumbsup2:
