Bobbins

Hi all, is it ok to leave on bobbins on your bike even when not using the paddock stand? I'm sure it's as they are just bolts secured in by a threaded nut.
Also anyone else find it hard to get a vulcan 650s 2018 up on a paddock stands? Took me awhile with a bit of balancing act :)

Re: Bobbins

No issues leaving the bobins on, some are sold as bobins/crash protection.

No idea regarding the vulcan in particular but all bikes have their own tricks. What I do find very helpful is to put a piece of scrap wood underneath the kick stand to bring the bike a little bit more upright before hooking up the stand, then it's a matter of moving the bike just a little bit with your hand and operating the stand with the other.

Depending on the mounting of them, on my 636 it broke the threaded bit on the swing arm in a fall so I would leave them off when not in use, that way you wont accidentally lose them on the road either

Yep, had a few bits of wood all round me, was daunting as it was the first time doing it and the bike is brand new :)
