Anybody seen Marushin helmets in the flesh - or bought one ?

Been looking at the RS1/RS2 carbon helmet.

They're 5 star rated on the Sharp test, damn light at just over 1kg - and often come up on deals from the big web-sellers.

The vents look a bit 'budget', so was wondering what the rest of the lid is like in real life. I can't imagine they're going to feel like a high end Shoei or Arai at that price, but wouldn't mind trying one if they're decent enough build quality.

Anybody got one, or had a good look at them close up ?

i've had a carbon one for a few years , good lid the light weight is a plus on long journeys as neck fatigue reduced . visor not the best and some wind noise but i usually wear ear plugs . its gathering dust now as have an adventure lid .

Nahhh, It's a budget brand, I used to sell the brand in my bike shop /years ago/, so I did go trough all of the models they have, carbon ones included, and to be honest, I wouldn't wear any of them, but that is just me.
A lot of noise, cheap parts, not lasting for long, but cool designs and colors.

Thats my thoughts about the brand, cheap shit.

Good to know. I always assumed the 5 star Sharp rating would have meant it had to be a high quality bit of gear as well as able to pass the various tests - but having seen the bro's 5 star AGV, I had my doubts.

Won't risk buying one blind then so.

Thanks chaps :thumbsup2:
