Bandit Chinese Ignition Switch Not Working

After waiting ages for it to arrive it doesn't seem to be working..

Heard about a Resistor that has to be added, anybody do this before?

Cheers!

The clue to the problem could be the word Chinese.:lbhbh:

Afraid so! Terminals inside aren't lining up properly when the key is turned 🙄 Can do it by hand ..

Anybody any idea what wires to put the 100 ohm resistor across so it sparks??

with the leads off the switch check it with a meter and see if there is continiuty between the terminals when you turn the key

When I turn the key to on the Parked light comes on.. when I turn the key past the handlebar lock to where the parked light should be the oil and neutral light come on..

Re: Bandit Chinese Ignition Switch Not Working

Is it a multi-socket that plugs into the back of the switch or are the ignition wires loose?
It sounds like the wires aren't connected to the correct terminals, but with a multi-socket that shouldn't be possible. Unless the socket can be fitted to the switch in more than one position.

Cheers lads. Nothing seems to be easy for me the last few weeks!

Sent on pictures to the eBay seller, hopefully they notice something wrong in the wiring.

It's a 6 wire multi. Fit perfectly into the original harness and can't go in upside down because of a catch on the male socket.
