Yesterday I looked at my new rear hoop sitting there and looked outside, nah too wet... thought I'd take wheel off and get it fitted. On other hand I thought what's the point having new hoop fitted, put wheel back on and not ride it for who knows when weather improves so I thought ah fu*k it, I decided to bike it over. Boy, it was the wettest spin ever! Fair play to Cawleys for fitting it on on the spot. :thumbsup2: Local garages refused to fit it on for insurance reasons(!) :rolleyes2: After 10 mins at Cawleys I'm fishtailing on new hoop! Had a laugh!
The worst thing about that spin was putting back on my gloves, they were cold and literially dripping like over-soaked pair of sponges! It's like putting on wet socks! Yuk! I took the wrong pair with me by mistake. On way back, thought I was being smart, I turned on my oxford heaters up full thinking it might help dry off a little and warm my hands. Fu*k me, it nearly boiled my hands off!! I forgot water is an excellent heat conductor! I rode my bike with my finger tips barely touching the bars waiting for them to cool off! I never knew how hot it can get... when wet! :wassat:
I did approx. 150km of the wettest spin and in fact I did a detour on way home for longer spin. You know when you're on a bike and you're soaking wet it is one of those moment you think ah fu*k it why not go a little further cos you can't get any wetter!!!
In conclusion, did I enjoy it? HELL YES, I DID!!! :thumbsup2:
