I wheelied a few times more by accident than by skill. I have perfecter the driving on two wheels alright, but it,s hard enough to stay on it driving normally. :(

The good thing about driving in the 70s & 80s was you didnt need insurance, technically you were supposed to have it but if the piggys stopped you they only told you to piss off home and not ot bring the bike out until it was properly insuted.
O the good old days

Well the irish driver are being f*cked over by the insurance companies.
My first quote for the XT was 1900 euro/year for traffic (6 year no claim)
After a bit of hazzle i got it down to 1200 euro

In Sweden itīll cost just over 200 euro/year full comp

So iīll favor the good old days

Dweezil, how the hell did you manage to make them knock €700 off your quote ??

I started out with a qoute from Hibernian (may they rest in peace) of 1900 euro, told them about the 6 years no claims that i have, but they would accept it since they were from my Swedish insurance company.

So i gave Carole Nash a call to see what they could offer. They started out on 1850, asked about my 6 year no claims, the girl that i spoke to said it wouldnīt be accepted (same reason as Hibernian). The thing with Sweden is that No Claims for both car and motorbike is counted the same way, and in some cases when you start a new insurance youīll get 5 years for free

So iīll really have 13 years no claims (with the 5 year freebie, but iīve only had a Full B since 1997), but here is the catch

Carole Nash belongs to Royal & SunAlliance, my old insurance company "If" also belongs to Royal & SunAlliance and that mean that they donīt have a choice and they HAD to accept my 6 years no claims (1 year that i had the insurance with IF and the 5 year freebie), that together that i joined MAG (you get a discount if you belong to a motorbike-club) and have the bike in a garage and paid it full thing directly got it down to 1200 euro for traffic a year
